Welcome!

Welcome to cfmissions.org. On this site you will find fabulous testimonies, pictures, prayer requests and information about the members of Christ Fellowship on a mission. The information will range from updates in other countries to more local and personal stories about being in the community. Many people will share what they are learning from mission trips to community outreachs (we like to call those Reach Beyonds) to conversations with coworkers. Our missionaries will be checking for your comments of encouragement on their posts.

There are also links to the Christ Fellowship website where you can learn more about our ministry and upcoming mission trips. You can also learn about other ministries at Christ Fellowship.

Check back often, as we will continue to update what we are seeing God do in and around the world. I hope we can help each other grow closer to CHRIST as we work to reach the world. And by all means, join us by subscribing to this blog in the column to the left.

May GOD always bless you!

Beautiful people.

I thought we flew to South America into Argentina, but we ended up in Eastern Europe!

Last night our group was split into two groups.
Tommy, Christina, and Joyce went north into the B.A. sub's to preach at one Iglesia Biblica Mission.
Corey, Daniella, and Zaheer went north east into B.A. rural to preach at another Iglesia Biblica Mission.

The members at these two churches were the most friendly people we have ever met.

These people are full of smiles, joy, and truly excited about evangelizing to spread the Gospel of Christ.

In the short time we have been here, I have observed that Eduardo has a shepherd's heart for the people and a love for ministry. There is a genuine love for the people and each other. We had the opportunity to have dinner with Gloria ( Eduardo's wife), and also noticed her passion for ministry and the people in Buenos Aires. She is filled with immense gratitude from where the Lord has taken their ministry for the past 25 years. ( Joyce's thoughts)

We are going to teach Simple Church today to the area pastors. Please pray for discernment and wisdom for all people involved in how to implement effective ways to reach people for the glory of God.

Arrived Safely

We arrived in Buenas Aires this morning around 8:00am and we are now getting things ready for this evening´s services at our hotel for the night. Tomorrow we head to our host homes.

Eduardo Buldain is an incredibly friendly man of God. His caring heart and his great sense of humor have already shown us some of the reasons why he has been blessed to lead by serving in this area of the world.

Tonight, Corey will be speaking with Daniella at one church about our mission in Christ through Numbers 13 and simultaneously I will be speaking with Christina about true worship (a topic I´ve been wrestling with for a while) through John 4 at another church. Both of which are churches that Eduardo has helped plant.

Pray for us as we speak to these churches tonight and also for the hearts of the people who hear.

Layover in Lima

So we are in the airport in Lima, Peru (11:45pm U.S. time, 9:45pm local time), after a 6 hour flight. It's been a safe journey so far.

For some reason, LAN airline wanted us to take a direct flight to Buenas Aires at 9pm instead of leaving at 5pm with this layover right now, but why pass up the opportunity to enjoy a brief stay in another country. This only will put us into Buenas Aires an hour later than if we took the direct flight.

The 6 hours of flight time included lots of reading and rest for our team. We're waiting for our flight, which will be in 3 1/2 hours at 1:25pm local time.

Getting more and more exciting with every passing mile. Getting more and more excited with every new person.

Read some of "unChristian" on the way over here and this verse from 2 Timothy 2:24 really stood out:

And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness.

Hope to update you all again soon!

By Jesus,
Tommy

Team leaves for Argentina

Please keep the Mission Team flying to Argentina tomorrow in your prayers throughout the week. We are excited for all the ways God will use them. Pray for the hearts of the people on the team and the people of Argentina to be ministered to during their time in Argentina. We are grateful God has granted us this opportunity and we place it in His hands as He goes ahead of us in all we do.
